CYNEFIN / The small print
YOUR PRIVACY.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
CYNEFIN is an emerging Welsh mountain-bike project founded by Solomon Wilson and Dylan Berrow. This notice covers this coming-soon website and the information you choose to share with us. For privacy questions or requests, email ride@ridecynefin.co.uk.
Following the build
When online signup is open, we ask for your email address and your explicit agreement to receive occasional CYNEFIN development updates. The checkbox is not pre-ticked. Signing up is optional, and browsing the site does not subscribe you.
We store the email, your consent choice, the consent wording and its version, and the submission time. We use consent as the basis for sending these updates. We do not use this list for unrelated marketing, sell it, or share it with frame manufacturers.
The form is processed by Netlify Forms. Netlify may also process technical information such as IP addresses and request details for delivery, security and spam prevention. No mailing-list automation is currently connected. If we introduce a separate email service, we will update this notice before using it.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing ride@ridecynefin.co.uk with “unsubscribe”. We will stop development emails and remove you from the active list. Where needed, we will keep only a minimal suppression record so we do not contact you again by mistake.
You can object to direct marketing at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Enquiries
If you email us, we use your address and the information in your message to respond and handle the conversation. Our basis is our legitimate interest in answering genuine enquiries and developing the project. Please only send information relevant to your enquiry.
Retention
We review the signup list at least annually and remove inactive records after 24 months without a development update, unless you have renewed your interest. We retain enquiries for up to 12 months after the conversation closes, unless an ongoing relationship or legal requirement makes longer retention necessary. Minimal consent and suppression records may be retained for as long as needed to demonstrate and respect your choices.
Hosting, security and international processing
This is a static website. Hosting and form providers process information needed to deliver and protect their services. Netlify operates internationally, so processing may take place outside the UK. Its privacy notice explains its processing and contact options. Netlify’s service terms and data-processing arrangements describe its international processing. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards applicable to your data.
This site does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, third-party embeds or non-essential cookies. Fonts and imagery are served with the site. Hosting providers may process server logs independently for operational purposes.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of information you provided; you may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email ride@ridecynefin.co.uk to make a request. We may ask for information needed to verify the request.
If you are concerned about how your information is handled, please contact us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
